Four seasons
Choose the best month for the ideal experience
Align activities with safer, lower-impact windows: avalanche checks in winter, blooms in spring, cool mornings in summer, and quieter ridgelines in autumn.

Winter
Remain on designated snow routes and review avalanche status beforehand. Keep dogs leashed and steer clear of quiet zones.
Check safety bulletin
Spring
Late spring brings blooming landscapes to many valleys: avoid muddy edges to prevent trail widening, and hike at sunrise to enjoy birdlife.
Summer
Start early for glacier access, swim only in designated areas, and consider microspikes for early-season snowfields.
Autumn
Amber forests and cooler mornings make for calmer hikes. Choose quieter huts and stick to durable paths.
